Job summary

Winsearch Recruitment is recruiting two Trainee Sheet Metal Workers for an aerospace client in Dukinfield. This full-time, permanent role offers structured training, mentoring, and progression into aerospace manufacturing practices.

Starting rate £14.89 per hour with 37 hours per week and optional overtime at premium rates. Candidates will learn from experienced professionals, interpret drawings, and perform fabrication on thin-gauge aluminium/steel components, while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Previous sheet metal experience essential.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret documentation.
• Willing to learn and progress into aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow Health & Safety procedures and 5S standards.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out sheet metal fabrication: marking out, bending/forming, drilling.
• Manufacture components from aluminium and steel <2mm thick.
• Maintain quality and complete work accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in training to achieve aerospace standards.
• Support continuous improvement in production environment.
