Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting a Scheduling Coordinator for a busy aerospace engineering company based in Swansea. The role involves coordinating logistics, dispatch and production scheduling to ensure materials and finished products are delivered on time and meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing daily/weekly dispatches, updating production schedules, arranging transport and export shipments, and handling purchase orders and deliveries to subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Logistics, Scheduling, Planning or Coordination.
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
• A proactive, can-do attitude.
• Experience using SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly dispatches and shipments.
• Manage and update production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Arrange and monitor transport and freight, including export shipments.
• Manage customer delivery and dispatch portals.
• Coordinate deliveries to and from subcontractors.
• Raise and manage purchase orders and goods received notes.
• Arrange transportation of subcontracted work and materials.
• Monitor freight and transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Operations, Customers and Subcontractors.
• Support process improvements and create/update SOPs.
• Assist with customer queries, complaints and general administration when required.
