Gregory-Martin International is seeking a Quality Manager for the Aerospace sector based on the Kent/Essex border. You will oversee the Quality Management System, line manage two inspectors, and act as the management representative for quality, ensuring ISO 9100/AS9100 compliance and FAIRS creation/approval.

The role demands strong communication, leadership, and ability to balance priorities between quotations, FAIRs, and audits, with a 4-day week.

Qualifications

Solid aerospace sector experience required.
Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
First Article Inspection experience (FAIR/LAIR) required.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Familiarity with OASIS.
Compliance with ISO 9100/AS9100 and EASA standards.
Audits: internal & external ideally qualified.
Some managerial/team-lead experience preferred.
Strong initiative and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
Support policies & goals with colleagues.
Good communications and computer literacy including Excel.

Responsibilities

Maintain quality control within manufacturing to meet standards and customer requirements.
Oversee Calibration, Testing, Qualification, and related approvals.
Inspect and verify parts at all stages of production.
Maintain calibrated equipment for manufacturing readiness.
Train users on Visual FAIR software per Customer/Design Authority approvals.
