Job summary

Magellan Aerospace in Llay Wrexham is looking for a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Function and the Quality Management System (QMS). This role involves interacting with both customers and suppliers to improve quality standards.

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in Engineering and experience in quality management within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Excellent leadership skills and a strong focus on quality improvement are essential.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing techniques.
  • Relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems AS9100/NADCAP or Part 145.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Function and promote the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Interact with customers and suppliers on quality improvements.
  • Ensure effective quality controls from purchase order to dispatch.

Skills

Knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing techniques
Relevant Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
Regulatory Experience AS9100/NADCAP or Part 145
Experience with quality management systems
Proven experience of managing Quality Teams

Education

Relevant 3rd level qualification in Engineering/Quality
