Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical engineering qualification or NVQ level 3 in engineering.
  • Proven experience gained in a quality inspection role.
  • Experience in using a variety of engineering and measuring equipment.
  • Experience in dimensional measurements and the ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels.

YOUR ROLE

Our amazing aerospace operation based in Barton-under-Needwood provides specialist logistics and supply chain solutions for our prestigious client. We have an exciting opportunity for a practiced and detailed‑driven Aerospace Quality Inspector.

In this vital role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards through precise and thorough inspections, helping us exceed operational targets and deliver excellence every time. This role will see you working Monday to Friday, typically between 8:30am – 5pm, however working hours can be discussed.

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £43,400 per annum plus a £2,000 per annum bonus, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 4% match on pension, life assurance, sickness cover and access to our employee assistance and benefits portal.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Aerospace Inspections Manager, you will ensure quality inspections are completed on inbound and outbound deliveries where you will measure and inspect parts referring to relevant technical drawings and specifications. You will ensure that parts and products meet air quality and worthiness standards while ensuring that non‑confirming stock is captured, documented and prevented from entering our supply chain.

Through precise due diligence and operational practice, you will visually inspect parts with a high attention to detail using first principle methods, tools and auditing processes in line with industry standards and regulatory controls.

This role will see you maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal colleagues, where you will capture and elevate issues, documenting and implementing solutions to mitigate future risks. You will also work in a compliant manner to ensure that all products and parts are built to the correct specifications with no compromise to quality.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven mechanical engineering qualification or NVQ level 3 in engineering
  • Proven experience gained in a quality inspection role.
  • Experience in using a variety of engineering and measuring equipment.
  • Experience in dimensional measurements and the ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels.

It would be desirable, however not essential, if you have proven experience of working in the aerospace / aviation industry.
