Job summary

Prestwick Aerosystems Limited, part of the Airbus family, seeks a Quality Engineer at Prestwick to oversee QA activities on aerospace projects, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on APQP/PPAP, inspection planning, and corrective actions.

You will support PFMEA, SPC, MRB, and PPAP processes, contributing to a safe, high-quality production environment. A competitive package is offered including pension, life assurance and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified to minimum HNC level or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Experience preferably in Aerospace or equivalent manufacturing industry.
• Understanding and use of standard Quality Tools and Techniques.
• Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D and regulatory approval and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the Quality Engineering activities within the respective project and supporting operational requirements.
• Assist in control of manufacturing processes and application of problem solving and improvement tools.
• Develop and deploy the Quality Policy and Strategy; support project quality activities and issue reporting.
• Support Corrective and Preventive Action processes; identify root causes and effective solutions for non-conformances.
• Ensure inspection planning, LAI, FAI/FAAV and delegated source inspection programmes are generated and maintained.
• Support PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC as part of APQP/PPAP for key products.
• Manage MRB processes and ensure robust corrective actions are discharged.
