Job summary

Oaklands Global is recruiting a Project Engineer for an aerospace client to lead aircraft modification programmes from concept through certification. You will act as the primary technical interface between customers and the engineering team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This 12-month onsite role requires strong coordination of multidisciplinary teams, solid mechanical design knowledge, and experience with certification processes such as EASA Part 21.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating engineering or aircraft modification projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and documentation standards.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Experience with EASA Part 21 Design Organisation and aircraft certification/STC programmes.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary engineering interface between client and team.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for certifiable aircraft modifications.
• Support initial design concepts per manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide on-site engineering liaison, resolving fit and manufacturing constraints.
• Manage schedules, resources, budgets, and reporting.
• Ensure integration of structural, mechanical, avionics, electrical inputs.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans and progress reports.
• Prepare technical reports and status updates for internal teams and clients.
• Coordinate inputs from external suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure outputs support certification and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical and programme risks.
