Job summary

Callen-Lenz is expanding its manufacturing operations in Salisbury, Wiltshire, and seeks a Production Planner to ensure smooth production workflows and timely availability of materials. You will coordinate orders, manage inventories, and work cross-functionally to optimise schedules and supply plans.

The role requires hands-on experience with ERP and PLM systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production planning and scheduling.
• Experience with ERP systems and BOM management.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Raise works orders, picking lists and manufacturing orders with quantities and deadlines.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and components.
• Coordinate with QA, production and manufacturing to ensure smooth processes.
• Manage availability of raw materials and other production resources.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust the master plan as needed.
• Prepare data for ERP SAP installation.
• Plan short- and long-term supply to meet service levels.
• Update Parts, assemblies (BOMs) and kits in the ERP system.
• Set MOQ/EOQ and safety stock levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve service and inventory turns.
• Assist operations with capacity planning and demand-supply alignment.
• Communicate inventory risks and backorders to planners.
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly production plans.
• Prevent excess inventory via target stock levels.
• Perform other related duties as required.
