Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform detailed maintenance on aircraft systems/components in a base maintenance environment. You will work from approved data, diagnose faults, and support the team in a dynamic operating setting, ensuring adherence to MOE and regulatory standards.

The role requires you to carry out tasks unaided to approved data, contribute to safety culture, and help mentor less experienced colleagues while maintaining quality records and compliance with Part

Qualifications

• Understanding of approved Technical Information set and ability to work unaided to approved data.
• Ability to analyse faults and follow diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain personal task authorisations for aircraft/components.
• Ensure maintenance is carried out to schedule and escalate issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance and diagnostic activities on aircraft systems/components, including inspections, removals, repairs, modifications and tests.
• Follow approved MOE data and Part 145 requirements; work with the team and guide junior technicians as needed.
• Document all activities and ensure airworthiness records are complete on relevant systems or papers.
• Apply Human Factors and Error Management in all Part 145 tasks and address any safety risks.
