Job summary

Holt Engineering is currently working with an established aerospace company in Southend to recruit a Material Handler. You will move, load and unload materials within the warehouse and storage facility, using appropriate handling equipment to support smooth operations.

This full-time role runs 8:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with pay between £12.71 and £13 per hour. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, is safety-conscious and able to work under supervision as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and established processes.
• Organised, reliable and detail-oriented.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Willingness to work under supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading materials within the warehouse and storage facility.
• Moving materials to and from aircraft, vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Operating material handling equipment, including hand trucks, forklifts, hoists and conveyors, where trained and authorised.
• Ensuring materials are handled, stored and transported safely and efficiently.
• Following instructions, established procedures and workplace guidelines.
• Supporting the warehouse team with day-to-day material handling duties.
