Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Manufacturing Quality Lead for aerospace—based in Birmingham. You will lead quality inspectors and manufacturing teams to ensure right-first-time quality and compliance with AS9100, customer specs, and engineering drawings.

You will investigate non-conformances, drive CAPA, and support MRB activities while partnering with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain to improve process capability and reduce defects.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years leading quality teams in aerospace manufacturing.
• Engineering qualifications and a Lead Auditor qualification or QBE are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop quality inspectors and manufacturing teams for right-first-time quality.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, drawings, specs and customer requirements.
• Lead investigations into non-conformances and drive CAPA with 8D/5 Why methods.
• Identify and deploy Lean/Six Sigma improvements to reduce COPQ and scrap.
• Support internal and supplier quality audits and maintain QMS.
• Act as key contact for customer quality concerns and drive rapid containment and resolution.
