Job summary

The client in Guildford is seeking a proactive Shipping Officer to manage movement of high-value satellite components across the UK and internationally, ensuring secure and timely transportation while complying with export controls.

You will coordinate shipments, select couriers, oversee documentation and regulatory checks (SPIRE/ITAR/EAR), support inventory, and work with cross-functional teams in a small, dynamic environment. Contract role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics or shipping role, preferably in aerospace, defence, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Knowledge of UK customs regulations and export control procedures (SPIRE & LITE) is required.
• Ability to work in a small, dynamic team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Organise domestic and international shipments of satellite components and related equipment.
• Select and manage relationships with couriers and freight forwarders.
• Monitor transit timelines and ensure secure handling of payloads.
