Job summary

Aero Gear is a global supplier of aerospace gears and gearboxes, seeking a factory maintenance specialist to diagnose, repair and preventively maintain equipment in a busy factory environment. You will handle a range of mechanical, electrical and HVAC tasks while coordinating with vendors and management.

The role emphasizes safety, effective communication, and timely task completion, with opportunities to work on heat treat systems and CNC/manual machining involvement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in a factory maintenance environment.
  • Electrical field experience is required.
  • HVAC experience is a plus.
  • Heat Treat Systems experience is a plus.
  • Experience with manual and/or CNC machining is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A vocational certificate/degree is a plus but experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and rectify facility and equipment issues within a factory setting (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general mechanical).
  • Schedule outside services and/or conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Manage unplanned facilities and machine repair requests.
  • Repair or replace facilities equipment and machine parts as needed.
  • Operate with urgency and safety as a priority.
  • Communicate effectively with management, employees and vendors.
  • Be independently motivated to complete time-sensitive tasks.
