Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. The role leads the Engineering function in an aerospace precision environment, ensuring manufacturing planning, technical activities, and engineering deliverables meet customer requirements and quality standards.

You will provide technical leadership, coordinate with Production and CAD teams, and drive continuous improvement across NPI and contract reviews. Starting salary £50,000 per annum, permanent role.

Qualifications

• CNC milling (3,4,5-axis) and CNC turning experience.
• Experience in aerospace or a similarly high-standard engineering environment.
• Knowledge of Titanium, Aluminium and Steel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments and with customers.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; able to produce accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate the Engineering department, allocating and prioritising work.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and support to Engineering, Production Supervisors and Operators.
• Interpret customer drawings, CAD models, specifications and standards, and translate them into effective manufacturing methods.
• Develop and maintain methods of manufacture, planning sheets, routings, manufacturing instructions and job packs.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for parts, details and assemblies.
• Identify tooling, equipment, material and process requirements and ensure these are communicated and actioned.
• Support Production throughout manufacture by investigating and resolving technical issues and updating instructions where improvements are identified.
• Act as the primary technical link between Customers, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Commercial and CAD.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), contract reviews and continuous improvement activity.
