Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking an engineering designer to develop bespoke product designs for aircraft applications. You will create 2D/3D CAD models in SolidWorks, produce prototypes and contribute to qualification documentation.

The role requires a degree or equivalent in engineering and at least two years of relevant design experience. You will collaborate across teams and may travel to supplier sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering and at least two years of design experience.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD package.
• Understanding of manufacturing and finishing methods and design review processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop bespoke product designs meeting customer specifications, quality and delivery targets.
• Create 2D/3D CAD models and BOMs via PDM.
• Produce prototypes and support qualification with documentation.
• Collaborate with management, customers, suppliers and internal teams to progress designs.
