Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services UK is recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations. You will manage non-conformances, coordinate reclaim decisions and prepare Concessions, Deviation Permits, Change Control and DAR documentation.

You will lead structured investigations, drive Lean improvements and use data to reduce defects, waste and variation while ensuring traceability and compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing manufacturing non-conformances with containment through closure.
• Ability to assess non-conforming parts against drawings, specs and history.
• Experience coordinating Concessions, Deviation Permits, Change Control and DAR docs.
• Strong structured problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why and Pareto analysis.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements.
• Experience applying Lean to reduce defects and waste.
• Ability to analyze data in MES, Teamcenter and Excel to spot trends.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience in aerospace/defence or safety-critical environments.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing non-conformances from intake to closure.
• Assess non-conforming parts and support reclaim decisions.
• Prepare and coordinate Concessions, Deviation Permits, Change Control and DAR.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to disposition affected parts on time.
• Lead investigations to identify root causes and implement CAPAs.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and data to cut defects and waste.
• Maintain quality records and traceability of actions and approvals.
• Support quality reviews, audits and compliance (AS9100).
• Monitor performance data and implement improvement actions.
