Job summary

Safran Seats in the United Kingdom is seeking a Compliance Monitoring Engineer to maintain the management system for the SGB repair station, ensuring compliance with EASA and UK CAA Part 145 regulations and EN9100 for repair activity.

Based in Newport with hybrid work options, you will lead regulatory audits, interface with authorities, and drive continuous improvement across the Aftermarket Quality Team. Experience in aeronautical MRO and Part 145 is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with five years in aeronautical MRO, with at least two in Part 145.
• Practical aviation safety standards knowledge and safe operating practices.
• Experience communicating with external stakeholders and authorities.
• Strong process and risk management knowledge.
• Competence in MS Office and quality management tools.
• Part 145 auditor qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for customer and regulatory audits, to ensure compliance to AS9100 and EASA 145.
• Protect customers from non-quality, by ensuring that repaired products and practices comply with regulations, customer requirements and Safran standards and promoting a culture of prevention and anticipation.
• Drive continuous improvement, by capitalizing on factual data and feedback and providing the necessary support for the repair station.
• Develop and manage the internal audit programme to ensure compliance with EASA/UK CAA Part 145 requirements and support deployment of the Part 145 Management System across the Repair Station.
• Manage audit findings, non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, and support root cause investigations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and manage operational safety risks in the Repair Station.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required by the role.
