A growing Aerospace Precision Engineering company in the Camberley area seeks a CNC Turner – Setter Operator. This role involves setting and operating CNC turning centres with potential for machine-side editing. Ideal candidates will have experience with 2-axis turning centres and knowledge of Fanuc and Mazatrol systems. The position offers a salary between £14 to £20 per hour, along with benefits such as a clean working environment, overtime pay, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning centres.
• Editing of programmes as needed.
• Using conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco.
• Ensuring effective programming.
• Observing health and safety rules.
• Supporting the efficient running of the section.

Skills

CNC setting and operating experience – 2-axis turning centres

Knowledge of CNC programs (Fanuc, Mazatrol)

Proving skills

Understanding engineering drawings

Knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds, cutters

Use of measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers)

High degree of complexity and accuracy

Ability to prioritise
