Job summary

Nutanix is seeking an Assembler Tester to assemble Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Fuel Valves alongside related components, ensuring parts meet aerospace quality standards and fit, form, and function requirements.

You will read engineering drawings, observe COSHH procedures, complete test paperwork, and follow lean principles. Able to operate with minimal supervision and flex hours to meet production needs, you’ll cross-train across the team and contribute to problem-solving efforts.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of aerospace traceability requirements.
  • Experience with small tools: drilling and locking, to 1.2 mm dia.
  • Experience/understanding of torque of finished components.
  • Experience/understanding of wire locking/roll pins to aerospace standards.
  • Experience in fitting helicoil thread inserts (tanged and tangless).
  • Experience in testing to customer test schedules.
  • Lean/Continuous improvement (advantageous).
  • COSHH assessment / risk assessment (advantageous).
  • 5S knowledge and experience (advantageous).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Fuel Valves and related components per drawings and procedures.
  • Follow production acceptance test schedules using various test media.
  • Accurately complete paperwork including test reports.
  • Observe Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
  • Cross train to cover all functions of the team.
  • Support investigations and problem-solving activities.
  • Work on own or with minimal supervision.
  • Flex hours and switch between functions to suit production needs.
