Job summary

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is seeking an Aero Data Quality Engineer to validate and improve data integrity across wind tunnel, CFD and track environments. You will collaborate with aerodynamicists, engineers and data scientists to ensure precise, trustworthy data for performance decisions.

This senior role requires a strong aerodynamics background, data acquisition knowledge, and solid Python coding skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in aerodynamics or aeronautics is required.
• Experience in a similar role, ideally within motorsport.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of data acquisition methods in aerodynamic test environments.
• Proficient coding skills in Python or similar.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of aero performance data from wind tunnel tests, CFD, and on-track telemetry.
• Develop and implement data validation and quality control processes to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, engineers and data scientists to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of data quality processes as part of the wider correlation project.
• Work closely with the Aero Performance group and other engineering groups.
• Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work in line with project requirements.

Closing Date: 12th September 2025 Position We have an opportunity for an Aero Data Quality Engineer to join the team at our Silverstone facility. In this role you will work within a group of engineers to provide input to the Aero Performance & Correlation Group, specifically in the field of correlation across our wind tunnel, CFD and track data while ensuring that the data acquired in each environment is accurate and reliable. • Good knowledge of data acquisition methods in an aerodynamic test environment
• Good coding skills in a mathematical language (e.g. Python)
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with key stakeholders/directors
