Job summary

GM Motorsports is seeking a Summer Intern to contribute to aerodynamic development. You may work on CFD, physical testing, automation, data processing, ML, or AI for engineering. The role is hybrid and reports to the Charlotte Technical Center in Concord, NC, three days a week.

Start dates are May 24th and June 14th. Candidates must pursue a relevant degree and be available for 40 hours per week in the summer.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in physics, maths, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computational science, or a related field.
• Must be graduating after September 2027 or beyond.
• Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve CFD workflows from CAD prep to reporting.
• Create tools for wind-tunnel testing, instrumentation, data acquisition and processing.
• Develop and validate machine-learning or surrogate models for aerodynamic prediction.
• Build AI-enabled tools to boost engineering productivity and accelerate analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers to define requirements, document methods and communicate results.
• Projects will align with team needs and candidate interests.
