Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join a state-of-the-art facility. You will help ensure manufacturability of new aero components, influence build layouts, and manage build preparation, machine operation and post-processing.

You will work across design teams and suppliers, contributing to the validation of new manufacturing methods aimed at maturing Additive Manufacturing to TRL 8. A SC clearance is required to start, with Rolls-Royce supporting the process.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Aerospace/ Manufacturing/ Materials/ Mechanical.
  • Experience in a manufacturing production environment with continuous improvement, NPI, capability acquisition, process engineering, automation or metrology.
  • Proven ability to work in multi-functional teams across Operations, Planning and Design Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing methods and technology to deliver New Part Introduction to quality, cost and timescale targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste, variation and product cost.
  • Deliver growth through future technologies and capability acquisition with seamless production implementation.
  • Own the technical package including product verification, change control and operational support.
