Achieving for Children Community Interest Company is seeking a senior adviser to join the Early Advice and Intervention Panel. The role involves advising on SEN placements across two boroughs and working with school leaders to support pupils who may struggle in their placements.
The candidate will bring extensive SEN knowledge, understanding of statutory legislation (Children's Act) and policy drivers affecting children's services, with EYFS through KS4 curriculum awareness.
This role is a senior position with the EISS and sits on the Early Advice and Intervention Panel which accepts referrals from all schools across the two boroughs about individual pupils who may be struggling in their current placements.
This is an advisory role and as such the person needs to have a wealth of knowledge and understanding about SEN, knowledge of statutory legislation (for example the Children's Act) and national policy drivers that will affect children's services and your role. (In this role that will include knowledge and understanding of EYFS through to KS4 national curriculums)
You will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Service and other specialist teachers in the same advisory position, and will provide high quality, responsive and bespoke advice.
