A local government authority in the UK is seeking Advisory and Inclusion Teachers for their Specialist SEND and Inclusion Support Service. The successful candidates will provide consultation and interventions to support children with a variety of SEND needs. Ideal applicants will possess QTS, experience in educational settings, and a solid understanding of SEND legislation and strategies. We are looking for Advisory and Inclusion Teachers to join our highly valued and well-established Specialist SEND and Inclusion Support (SIS) Service for a fixed term period. We are interested in hearing from applicants with expertise working with children and young people with a wide range of SEND needs. Successful candidates will be based within one of our specialist teams and also expected to work alongside other teams in our service, such as Cognition & Learning Team or Emotional Well-being and Effective Learning (EWEL) Team.
The role will involve providing consultation, assessment, advice, interventions and strategies to remove barriers to inclusion and promote the achievement of individual pupils and groups of pupils within educational settings. The role will also require you to work closely with other services and parent/carers.
