Are you a commercially driven media sales professional with a passion for B2B publishing and events? Do you have a proven track record in driving revenue across print, digital, and sponsorship platforms?
A leading B2B publishing and events company is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager - Publications to lead the revenue strategy for a portfolio of market-leading titles in logistics, automation, robotics, urban mobility, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy
• Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive advertising, sponsorship, and partnership revenue. - Sell across print and digital advertising, branded content, webinars, and sponsorship packages.
- Align publication performance with related events and awards to maximise cross-platform revenue.
- Business Development & Client Relationships
• Identify and secure new advertisers and sponsors while nurturing existing accounts. - Build bespoke commercial partnerships tailored to client needs.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders and suppliers.
- Cross-Platform Integration
• Collaborate with Events and Awards teams to integrate commercial opportunities across the portfolio. - Support the development of research-led commercial opportunities.
- Drive sales for conferences and events linked to the magazine brands.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Work closely with editorial and marketing teams to align commercial goals with content strategy. - Provide leadership and mentorship to sales colleagues.
- Enhance visibility of advertising opportunities through strategic marketing collaboration.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B commercial sales experience, ideally in advertising, sponsorship, or media.
- Proven success across multiple revenue streams including print, digital, and events.
- Strong commercial acumen and a consultative, strategic sales approach.
- Experience in logistics, automation, transport, or sustainability sectors (preferred).
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven by financial success.
