Job summary

Genuit Group is seeking a design/engineering professional to provide technical support, produce full working designs and take-offs using AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit. The role supports the Advantage manufacturing team and involves 2D/3D drawings, estimates, quotations and handling technical queries for multiple product ranges.

You will contribute to NPD/R&D and collaborate with external sales and quality teams, with on-site customer visits and a strong emphasis on delivering compliant,

Qualifications

• Qualification in design/engineering at least HNC or equivalent.
• Excellent CAD skills with AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit.
• Knowledge of Polypipe standards and processes and drainage/water supply principles.

Responsibilities

• Design using AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit and prepare full working designs.
• Create 2D/3D drawings and prepare take-offs and quotations.
• Generate estimates and quotations using bespoke programs.
• Respond to technical queries for product ranges and support sales teams.
• Attend customer sites for support and pre-site meetings as required.
• Assist with NPD/R&D and development of existing product ranges.
• Support quality and sales with customer complaints and warranty issues.

Job description

Providing technical support services to the indentified product areas such as preparing full working designs, take offs & quotations.,

• Designing using AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit Software
• Outworking 2D & 3D drawings where required
• Using the company's bespoke programs to generate estimates and quotations
• Satisfactorily outworking technical queries for all identified product ranges.
• Customer Telephone support
• Supporting the external sale team and wider technical team by attending customers sites.
• Supporting quality and sales with customer complaints
• Attending pre site commencement meetings as required
• Helping develop new and existing product ranges with NPD and R&D
• Supporting the Advantage manufacturing team
  Excellent AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit Skills
• A qualification in a design / engineering discipline to HNC or experienced based competence.
• Knowledge of Polypipe standards and processes
• Knowledge of engineering principles associated with commercial above ground drainage and water supply.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles, British standards and processes across the Advantage department
• Computer Literate - Windows and MS Office Skills
• Communication skills within department and other departments (face to face and by phone)
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
• Advance product knowledge

  Monday - Thursday flexi start between 8:00-9:00am finishing 5:00-6:00pm, Fridays 8:30am-3:00pm.
