A leading infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Advanced Works Community Engagement Manager to lead community engagement initiatives and strengthen relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in similar roles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to plan and deliver complex community engagement strategies. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and is pivotal for the MetroLink project.

Qualifications

  • Job Title: Advanced Works Community Engagement Manager
  • Salary: €714 per day - Inside IR35
  • Reports to: Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Director
  • Location: Hybrid / MetroLink Offices, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8
About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Works Community Engagement Manager to lead and deliver community engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships between MetroLink, its delivery contractors, and the wider community. This is a pivotal role, working closely with the Stakeholder Engagement Team to plan, implement and manage engagement activities that build public trust, enhance awareness, and foster meaningful partnerships during the Advanced Works phase of the MetroLink project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement strategies to build strong and lasting relationships between the project and the public.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on engagement activities, outcomes, and insights to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Coordinate engagement initiatives across teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive, agile, and informed engagement team that understands MetroLink's operations.
  • Stay informed of relevant legislation and regulatory changes that may impact engagement strategies and project delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with community engagement to support smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with the wider communications team to enhance engagement efforts through various media channels.
  • Carry out additional duties and tasks as required to support the communications and engagement strategy.
Experience & Skills

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a community engagement role for a large-scale infrastructure project.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure or construction projects, including understanding project lifecycles and dependencies.
  • Proven experience working in fast-paced environments.
Skills:
  • Excellent relationship management skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong adaptability and communication skills to engage with different audiences.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver engagement activities and events.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; native-level proficiency in English.
  • Expertise in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.

Qualifications & Professional Memberships
  • No formal education requirements for this role.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) or Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is advantageous.
