Job summary

Outwood Academy Hemsworth, part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, invites applications for an Advanced Teaching Assistant. This literacy-focused role supports students in and out of the classroom within a high-achieving 11-18 academy.

The post is aligned with our values and commitment to Students First. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the inclusion team to support pupils, including those with EHCPs, and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High aspirations for children, committed and passionate about learning.
• Ability to support learning and welfare in the classroom and beyond under guidance.
• Experience with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) desirable and working with SENDCo or inclusion teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and out-of-class support to students.
• Work under the direction of the class teacher SENDCo or the extended inclusion team.
• Support literacy-focused activities and contribute to literacy improvement across the academy.

Role: Advanced Teaching Assistant

Salary: £18,964.74 - £19,582.62. Grade 5, SCP 9 - 11

Hours: 30 hours per week, term time with 5 plus days.
