Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Therapist within our Children's Speech and Language Therapy Autism Team in Warwickshire.

We are a small, friendly team, so there is someone on hand to discuss clinical queries and to support staff development. We actively encourage the development of specialist skills, enabling therapists to progress in their career. Staff are supported through regular team meetings, MDTs, clinical supervision and ongoing CPD opportunities.

We work alongside Multi‑Disciplinary teams, liaising with our colleagues in CWPT. We work across a range of settings, including Nurseries, home visits, clinics and Primary Schools. You would be based in the South locality base with a team of therapists and admin support.

Responsibilitiesh3>
  • Provision of high‑quality Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service for children with ASD in a designated part of Warwickshire.
  • Providing second opinions and specialist advice/support to Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists and other colleagues within the multi‑agency team (e.g. clinical psychologists) to assist in differential diagnosis and management of clients' needs.
  • Independently managing a caseload of highly complex children with ASD, both preschool and school age.
  • Training parents, carers and professionals in communication needs related to ASD.
