Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Podiatrists to provide podiatric management and care for the residents of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (STW). This role aims to deliver comprehensive, skilled, and evidence-based podiatry to our high risk patient caseload and support to our system partners.

There are various hours available, post graduate experience in high risk patient and wound management essential.

Main duties of the job

We require the post holder to deliver care utilising core podiatry skills in tissue viability including force management/off‑loading and vascular care. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in their area of interest which is relevant to this role.

This role will place you as a link worker for podiatry within primary care and the integrated care system. You will create close working ties with our partners, highlighting training needs from any concerns raised from datix or audits. Your role will include inputting data to the National Diabetes Footcare Audit.

You will be involved in the management and supervision of the podiatry clinical team within an area acting as a role model, developing, supporting, and mentoring your colleagues.

Previous experience of management of foot wounds and the deteriorating patient is essential. You will provide clinical, domiciliary and remote assessment and management for foot wounds. You will need to meet the travel requirements for this role which whilst based in Telford will involve travel around Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.
