Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our team at Manchester Foundation Trust who will rotate between sites to provide Cardiac Diagnostic Services in both a large tertiary centre, district general, and the community setting.

The department offers a full spectrum of invasive and non‑invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and actively creating new roles for service provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently practise with a high level of skill and autonomy at advanced specialist level in at least one field of tertiary cardiology.
  • Perform a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures with a high level of skill and autonomy.
  • Provide effective day‑to‑day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.
  • Actively participate in practical and theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside the organisation.
  • Participate in cardiac and associated medical research as integral to the role.
  • Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
