A local government council in Horsham is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Serious Youth Violence team. The role involves managing Child Exploitation cases, working with partner agencies, and providing assessments for vulnerable children and families. Candidates should have a recognized Social Work qualification and at least one year of post-qualification experience. We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join our Serious Youth Violence, Missing and Exploitation Team. This dynamic role involves leading on Child Exploitation cases, working collaboratively with a range of partner agencies, navigating complex family relationships and legal frameworks with confidence and care.
You will manage a caseload under regular supervision and prepare for and work with individuals, families, carers, groups, and communities to provide assessments for their needs and circumstances. With a supportive team environment, you shall deliver first class support to vulnerable children and young people. You will champion innovative ways of working in a team where successes are celebrated and have opportunities to advance in your professional journey.
Our ideal candidate will be emotionally intelligent, organised, resilient individuals who add value and comprehensive knowledge to the team. You will have knowledge of Social Work policies and practices, along with implementing a range of therapeutic interventions to support change.
Please note you will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes are available.
