🕣 Hours : Monday to Friday, 08 : 45 - 17 : 20

💷 Pay Rate : Up to £41.26 per hour (Umbrella, DOE)

💼 Contract Type : Full-time, Agency / Temporary

✨ About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner (Assistant Team Manager) to join our CONNECT Team (Assessment Team) in Ellesmere Port.

This is a non-case-holding position, ideal for a skilled practitioner looking to take the next step in their leadership journey. You'll play a key role in managing and supporting a pod of five Social Workers, ensuring that high standards of professional practice are maintained and that children and families receive timely, effective, and compassionate support.

You will work within a highly supportive environment, managed by an experienced Team Leader, where reflective supervision, teamwork, and professional development are prioritised.

🧩 Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and professional guidance to five Social Workers within your pod.
  • Chair strategy meetings, ensuring clear plans of action and accountability.
  • Allocate new cases to team members, ensuring balanced and appropriate workloads.
  • Be on duty approximately once every three to four weeks to support incoming referrals.
  • Promote high-quality, evidence-based practice and maintain strong standards across the team.
  • Support the Team Leader with day-to-day operational management and service delivery.
  • Contribute to reflective discussions, training, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Model best practice and support professional development within the team.
