We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Advanced Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in South & West Devon. This is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role where you’ll support frontline practice, mentor colleagues, and contribute to service excellence across children’s social care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold a reduced caseload focusing on complex needs and high-risk families.
  • Lead and contribute to high-quality assessments and informed decision-making.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job training to students, ASYEs, and alternatively qualified staff.
  • Promote a culture of best practice, reflection, and learning within the team.
  • Support the Team Manager with the day-to-day operations of the service.
  • Actively contribute to service development through leadership and constructive challenge.
