Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) to lead SLT services in mental health. The post spans two days at Phoenix High Dependency Rehab Unit and three days across acute/older peoples wards, with cross-trust supervision and senior clinical leadership support.

Qualifications

• Advanced level Speech and Language Therapist with leadership experience in mental health.
• Ability to provide expert clinical input, supervise others and lead service development.
• Capacity to influence MDT care planning, risk management and discharge processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with complex communication and dysphagia in mental health settings.
• Act as clinical lead for SLT within the MDT, guiding care planning and service delivery.
• Lead and supervise SLT colleagues, students and the wider multidisciplinary team.
