Job summary

A local council in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking experienced and visionary Senior Social Workers for their Duty and Assessment Teams. The ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience and a commitment to making a positive impact on families in need. The role involves completing child assessments, co-producing child protection plans, and working closely with community services. This temporary position offers a pay rate of £33.30 per hour for 37 hours a week.

Qualifications

  • Registered Social Worker with relevant qualifications.

We are seeking experienced and visionary Senior Children and Families Social Workers to join our Duty and Assessment Teams.

💼 Rate is inclusive of HPIL

🎓 ASYE + at least 3 years' experience plus additional supervisory / practice development responsibilities, including contributing to the learning of others.

👩👧👦 Senior Social Worker - CSS Duty & Assessment Teams

If you are passionate about social work and making a positive difference to the lives of children and families in Stoke-and are driven to lead by example-we want to hear from you. ✨

You will be part of four dynamic Duty and Assessment teams, delivering a high-quality assessment service to children and their families through:

  • Completing Child and Family Assessments
  • Co-producing Initial Child in Need and Child Protection Plans with families and partner agencies

🤝 Our Duty and Assessment Service has excellent partnership relationships that continue to grow. You will work closely with our Supporting Families Service and a wide range of community-based services and agencies in the city.

Using a restorative approach, you will work collaboratively with families, partners, and colleagues in the Long-Term teams to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to:

  • Safeguarding
  • Assessment
  • Planning
  • Implementation
