Job summary

Day Webster Group is seeking a Band 8a Sonographer with obstetric and gynaecological expertise for a hospital in Cambridgeshire. The role offers an attractive hourly rate and a flexible pattern, with ASAP start for ongoing work.

Suited to experienced professionals able to work independently and participate in teaching trainees. You will need HCPC registration, strong scanning/reporting skills across ultrasound exams, and excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid UK professional registration (e.g., HCPC or relevant body).
• Proven ability to scan and report independently across ultrasound exams.
• Experience teaching or mentoring trainee sonographers/radiologists.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• Desirable: experience in DVT and MSK scanning.
• Desirable: CPD and audit participation.
• Desirable: NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• ASAP start, ongoing assignment.

Day Webster are currently recruiting a Band 8a - Sonographers with obs experience for a hospital based in Cambridgeshire.

Our client is looking for the ideal candidate to start ASAP, Ongoing. The shift pattern would be full time hours, although the service would consider other suitable work patterns for the right candidate.

What you need - Role requirements
1. Abdominal & gynaecological modules
Valid UK professional registration (e.g., HCPC or relevant body)
Proven ability to scan and report independently across a wide range of ultrasound exams
Experience teaching or mentoring trainee sonographers/radiologists
Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills

Desirable:

• Experience in DVT and MSK scanning


• Evidence of CPD and audit participation


• Previous NHS experience
