Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to progress into a leadership role as Advanced Practitioner (CDC) in Doncaster. Based at Civic Office with hybrid working, you will manage a team, provide expert clinical guidance and ensure high standards of care across the occupational therapy service.

Salary Details: Grade 10, £48,227- £52,414 (pay award pending)

Contract Type: Temporary for 18 months

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday (Flexible working arrangements available)

Become part of something amazing! We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is ready to progress into a leadership role. We fully recognise the value and fundamental importance of the role Occupational Therapy play in promoting people’s wellbeing, maximising independence, and supporting people to live meaningful lives.

The post holder will:

  • Provide day to day operational management and support for professionals working in the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Promote best practice standards based on, up-to-date knowledge of Occupational Therapy practice developments and relevant policy and legislation.
  • Provide professional casework advice, expert Occupational Therapy knowledge, support and guidance to colleagues, including newly qualified Occupational Therapists, trainees and other team members and/or volunteers.
  • Have excellent clinical knowledge of equipment and adaptations assessment and provision in Occupational Therapy.
  • Be able to work alone and within a team.
  • Be able to organise and prioritise workload and balance this with conflicting demands of the role.
  • Hold appropriate qualification, BSc OT, Dip OT, or equivalent management qualification.
  • Registration with Health Care Profession Council (HCPC).

The service operates over 5 days a week. Monday-Friday (no unsociable hours).
