Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist – Brent

Location: Brent, London

Hourly Rate: £31.49

Hours: 36 per week

Contract: Temporary

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Brent Council for an experienced Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care team.

The Role

This role focuses on delivering a high-quality Occupational Therapy service within Adult Social Care. The successful candidate will promote strength‑based practice and provide assessments, interventions, and recommendations to adults with physical disabilities and those with complex, multiple needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of adults with physical and complex disabilities.
  • Promote independence and wellbeing through strength‑based, person‑centred interventions.
  • Provide professional OT advice to colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Recommend and arrange appropriate equipment, adaptations, and care packages.
  • Support the delivery of safe and effective discharges from hospital and promote community‑based independence.
Requirements
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
  • Significant experience working within Adult Social Care.
  • Strong understanding of strength‑based practice and the Care Act 2014.
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills.
