Job summary

Rochdale Borough Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to support, supervise and mentor staff in children’s services. You will work with families with complex needs, produce high quality reports and court assessments, and contribute to development across the Family Support & Protection teams.

You will lead evidence‑based assessments while maintaining professional standards, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

Job description

Advanced Practitioner Salary up to £49,282 per annum

We are currently looking for social workers who will enjoy the opportunity to support, supervise and mentor staff across our children’s services, including various programmes such as ASYE and practice placements. There are currently positions available in the Family Support & Protection teams.

Using your advanced practice skills, you will work directly to support families with complex needs and produce high quality reports and assessments for court, alongside other specialist assessments without having case holder responsibility for such cases. This position would lie within the Family Support and Protection team.

You will also support and promote the development and maintaining of high standards of professional practice across your team and the wider service while being competent in leading on various evidence‑based specialist assessments across the service.
