Job summary

HealthJobs Ltd is recruiting an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist for a full-time locum role in Haringey, London. The position offers an initial 3-month contract with potential for ongoing work, paying up to £42 per hour depending on experience.

The role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, managing complex caseloads, and delivering high-quality, person-centred services within Adult Social Care. Eligible for leadership and supervision responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration required.
• Substantial experience working within Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy.
• Proven experience managing complex cases, assessments, and interventions.
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Adult Safeguarding procedures, Mental Capacity Act.

Responsibilities

• Assess service users with complex care and therapy needs and contribute to their care journeys.
• Apply advanced professional judgement, decision-making and risk management in complex cases.
• Identify and coordinate appropriate care pathways for effective service delivery.
• Manage a complex OT caseload to a high professional standard.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team in Adult Social Care.
• Provide specialist OT guidance across Adult Social Care services.
• Lead on comprehensive assessments, interventions, reviews and complex case management.
• Champion best practice, policy development and service improvement initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor and support OT staff and students.
• Facilitate safeguarding discussions and complex case reviews.
• Chair multidisciplinary meetings and ensure coordinated outcomes.
