A healthcare provider in Stockport is seeking a Principal Pharmacist for Clinical Services to oversee discharge prescriptions and improve the discharge process. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical pharmacy services within NHS hospitals and necessary qualifications including a registered pharmacist status and prescribing qualification. The role offers a salary ranging from £55,690 to £62,682 per annum, depending on experience.
You will be responsible for providing a highly specialised pharmacy resource writing discharge letters , including prescribing of discharge medications, for patients being discharged from the Trust.
Working as part of the pharmacy discharge team you will be responsible for developing and improving the discharge process for patients.
To be a pharmacist prescriber for discharge prescriptions on the wards
To provide, deliver and develop the pharmacy discharge service in accordance with agreed objectives
To co-ordinate the day to day activities for pharmacy discharge service
To support the Clinical Pharmacy Services manager in developing the clinical pharmacy service to the specialities in line with the needs of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust
To attend consultant ward rounds and white board rounds as appropriate

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salaryIn addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
