Job summary

HCA Healthcare UK’s Christie Private Care in Manchester is seeking a Bank Physiotherapist to join our oncology AHP team. You will deliver tailored oncology physiotherapy for private patients in an in-patient setting, under the guidance of senior clinicians.

The role emphasises ongoing professional development, attendance at mandatory training, and contributing to service improvement while maintaining high standards of patient care in a compassionate, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• HCPC Registration
• Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
• Post registration experience across core physiotherapy areas (acute medicine, surgical care, ICU/HDU/CCU, cardio-respiratory, neurology, orthopaedics and MSK)
• Post registration oncology/haematology experience
• Desire to develop further in oncology
• Evidence of training/CPD/experiential experience relevant to cancer care
• Advanced communication skills
• Advanced clinical reasoning skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a tailored oncology physiotherapy service to private patients in our care.
• Role primarily based in an in-patient setting with occasional out-patient or day-case visits.
• Support the physiotherapy lead and senior clinicians with the development of service initiatives and contribute to governance.
• Maintain own professional development and ensure mandatory training is compliant.
