Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver flexible regional primary care sessions across Waltham Abbey, with full autonomy over clinical practice.

You will conduct advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within GP and community services, in clinics with clear pathways and safe workflows.

Weekday, evening or weekend bookings are available, with ad-hoc or regular sessions to suit your availability.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification is required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) is required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence.
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems.
