Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver autonomous ANP-led clinics across East Cowes and surrounding primary care sites. You will enjoy full clinical autonomy within established GP and community services, with flexible sessional bookings and clear pathways to ensure safe, efficient workflows.

This role requires Level 7 Advanced Practice, Independent Prescribing (V300), Enhanced DBS clearance, and GP/urgent care experience.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification and V300 prescribing.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Manage acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conduct telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe safely within scope of competence.
• Review results and handle routine follow-up actions.
• Record accurate clinical notes in digital systems.

This role offers structured sessions within established primary care clinics, giving you full autonomy over your clinical practice while maintaining consistency in your working environment.

You will deliver advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within well-supported GP and community services. Each clinic provides clear pathways, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems

Requirements

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification
• Independent Prescribing (V300)
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings
