A leading clinical service provider in Cockermouth is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to manage patients with urgent clinical needs. You will work autonomously under the supervision of a Chief Medical Officer and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care. As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will manage patients presenting with same-day and urgent clinical needs. You will work autonomously within a clearly defined scope of practice using your advanced clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and prescribing skills to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality care under the professional supervision of our Chief Medical Officer (GP), with access to peer ANP and ACP networks for case discussion, reflective practice, and supervision.
You’ll assess, diagnose, and manage undifferentiated presentations (largely acute minor illnesses), including identifying red flags and initiating appropriate treatment or referrals.

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner passionate about delivering high-quality, same-day patient care at the front line of primary care?
We're looking for a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative, multidisciplinary team. Working under the professional supervision of our Chief Medical Officer (GP), you’ll be the first point of contact for adult patients presenting with acute illness or undifferentiated symptoms - helping people access timely, effective, and person-centred care within a 15‑minute appointment model.
You’ll work alongside GPs, Physiotherapists, Clinical Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Social Prescribers, and other allied professionals to offer evidence based joined‑up care that puts patients first. Together, we’re rethinking how acute care is managed in General Practice and we want you to be part of it.
