What You’ll Bring
- Registered with the NMC (Adult Nursing)
- Independent Non‑Medical Prescriber (V300)
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent experience
- Extensive clinical experience in primary care
- Expertise in managing minor illness, chronic conditions and promoting patient self‑care
Key Responsibilities
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner you will:
- Deliver autonomous care for patients with minor/acute illness and common general practice presentations, including women’s health.
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation, using advanced clinical skills and evidence‑based practice.
- Act as an independent non‑medical prescriber and review pathology results to ensure appropriate care.
- Provide telephone triage, clinic appointments and community care to reduce demand on GP time.
- Promote patient independence and self‑care where appropriate.
- Support and lead the practice in achieving the Quality and Outcomes Framework and NHS England/Nene CCG/Federation contracts.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance activities.
- Mentor and train new recruits or students as required.
- Maintain and promote the practice’s Equal Opportunities Policy and data‑protection procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Registered as a RGN with a minimum of 5 years post‑registration experience
- Registered Independent Non‑Medical Prescriber
- Relevant first‑level degree and extensive primary nursing experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development and CPD commitment
- Strong teaching, assessment and communication skills
Desirable:
- Relevant Master’s level degree or management qualification
- Post‑registration qualifications in minor illness, women’s health, mental health or paediatrics
- Experience in service development, research or clinical policy writing
- Recent attendance on a leadership skills development programme
Additional Requirements
- Strong problem‑solving approach and calm under reasonable pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including IT literacy
