Mayfield Surgery is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our friendly team in Northampton. You will deliver autonomous, patient‑centred care across a wide range of conditions, from initial assessment to treatment and follow‑up.

You will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to people with a wide range of health needs, from initial assessment and diagnosis through to treatment and follow-up.
Working autonomously and collaboratively with our GPs and wider clinical team, you'll use your advanced clinical and prescribing skills to manage acute and long-term conditions, promote health and wellbeing, and contribute to service development within the practice.
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) at Mayfield Surgery, you will provide safe, effective and compassionate care for patients of all ages. Working autonomously and within our multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of acute and long-term conditions.
You will act as a first contact clinician, delivering expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and evidence‑based management of undifferentiated or complex health problems. You will also support patients in managing both minor and chronic conditions, promote self‑care and healthy lifestyles, and contribute to our chronic disease management and same‑day access services.

Mayfield Surgery is a long‑established GMS practice serving a list of approximately 9000 patients in an interesting, diverse, and socially varied part of Northampton.

The post holder is an experienced nurse who acting within their professional boundaries will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment diagnosis treatment and evaluation of care They will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care including assessment and diagnostic skills for patients within the general practice The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required
