About the Job

Are you an Advanced Nurse Practitioner looking to expand your skills and grow your career in general practice? Want the chance to gain experience in general practice with a supportive, patient-focused environment? We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at The Junction Health Centre, located directly outside Clapham Junction Train Station. The centre is open 7 days a week, 8am–8pm, and we are looking for someone to work minimum Friday 8am–8pm, with the option to take weekend shifts.

You will be a key member of our team, using your advanced clinical skills to provide autonomous care for patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated, or complex conditions, and/or managing long-term conditions. This is a unique opportunity to develop your clinical expertise in both urgent care and general practice.

You will be required to work within Clinical Guidelines, Policies, Procedures and utilising expert judgment to work outside these frameworks where necessary. You must be able to prescribe within professional competence. This role will be working across both general practice and the hub service on an ad hoc bank basis and you will play an integral role in delivering a high-quality service to patients.

Main duties of the job
  • Assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients autonomously daily
  • Order investigations and interpret results
  • Provide an excellent standard of patient care and health promotion to the general public
  • Deliver care for patients with acute, undifferentiated, or complex conditions
  • Develop clinical expertise in urgent care and general practice
What we'll need from you
  • Be an autonomous Nurse Practitioner with a patient assessment qualification and recent experience in Primary/Urgent Care
  • Hold an independent prescribing qualification
  • Hold an NMC PIN
  • Experience in managing long-term conditions
