Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Health Intelligence Analyst to join the Data and Analytics team within Value Transformation, NHS Wales Performance and Improvement. The role focuses on leading a health intelligence programme centred on the National Pathology Programme and National Imaging Programme while contributing to the wider remit of the service and reacting to changing priorities of our partners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a health intelligence programme focused on the National Pathology Programme and National Imaging Programme.
  • Develop dashboards and information flows to deliver high‑profile projects for the team.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques, data analysis, and programming to support decision makers.
  • Manage projects, negotiate and communicate with stakeholders across the directorate.
  • Contribute to the development and strategic direction of the service.
  • Respond to changing priorities and support the broader data, analysis and knowledge functions.
  • Develop expertise on specific datasets, analytical methods, programming languages and Business Intelligence tools.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience working in an information environment.
  • Strong analytical, advanced statistical, dashboard and information flow development skills.
  • Experience in people and project management, negotiation and communication.
  • Advanced proficiency with statistical methods, programming languages and BI tools.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven to deliver the right intelligence at the right time.
  • Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
